In America' date=' that stupid cool story bro crap is a new teenage thing. It pretty much means " yeah stfu".[/quote']

Haha oops again with our cultural slang .. I can't speak for her but I'm sure there's other international words she could of used if she wanted to get a point across lol ... That's weird it's catching on in the US ... They've said bro since I move here 20 years ago! When I got here someone said "cheers big ears" as in thank you - I was so insulted lol

Like the new catch phrase goes: it gets better BFL. Between my liquid pre op diet and the first week after surgery on liquids only I did 35 days straight of absolutely not one single bite of solid food! (try THAT with a food addiction!) I remember my first bite after those 35 days was some low fat cottage cheese. I seriously don't think I ever tasted anything as good in my entire life. Now I can eat ANYTHING I want but choose to eat only the healthiest of foods. I don't want to waste even one day of potential weight loss by "cheating." I'm that determined.

I hate cooking too! That's why I usually boil a chicken and use it all week for stuff... Oh and I dry fry tofu about once a week to grab out of the refrigerator and eat cold.

No, BFL, I used my Weber gas grill outside in my driveway. I used to use that thing at least twice a week pre VSG days! I would be out there cooking a 24 Oz Ribeye steak drinking a Margarita (my true source of weight gain) when it was 10 below zero here in Chicago. I'm NOT kidding.

That's good to hear. When I get hungry I think a little bit of chicken won't even touch the sides I need the chicken on a big fluffy bun ... Or 2 ... and then ill be satisfied ... I would love to eat some grilled chicken wrapped in a lettuce leaf w balsamic as my lunch... But I crave the carbs to fill up the huge hole in my torso!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
