Throwing up question

I can't throw up. Even if I'm sick, I'll dry heave and spit will come out, but not the actual object that my body wishes to expel. Is it because of the sleeve shape that I have issues throwing up? Last night I ate something bad. I'm not sure what it could have been to be honest, maybe too much ceviche? I got the bubbly feeling and ran to the rest room. I heaved... Nothing. Heaved... Nothing. Dry heaving really hurt and made me feel even sicker. But nothing would come out and I ended up just being sick and now it's coming out the other end.

Anyone have this issue? I just don't like feeling sick and think its so strange that I can't puke anything up...

I also have this issue. There have been 3 times since surgery where something didn't agree with me and nothing came back up when I went to go throw up. It's like stuff can go down but not back up. Sorry, no advice, but I would like to know why this is as well.
