should I go to weight watchers?

I love WW. Such a great program. I plan to go back for support. You can track your points on the WW app and track calories on MFP.

OK the group leader walked up to me when I was in line to weigh in and sign up and asked me if I were a life timer LOL!

I said nope. They didn't ask about wls so I didn't say, I know they frown on that so yeah.

SO according to their chart I need to lose 4 lbs to get to goal, according to my own personal chart I need to lose 14 lbs. I can do this, I will do this.

Need to stop some real bad habits and start back to the good ones!

Best wishes everyone!

Weight Watchers is the bomb! I joined 12 years ago and successfully lost 109 lbs and made Lifetime. Unfortunately, I stopped going to meetings and did not keep it off... I gained it all back plus some. I've thought of rejoining for the weekly support (I'm 3 months post-op). I love the atmosphere and energy of the meetings in my area. Though, a LOT of people in the WW community have a negative stigma towards wls. I do not recommend being forthcoming with that info.

We started WW at work program. I went until the week before my surgery. It is what helped me to lose Pre-op! I will return soon. I'm glad it was mentioned they don't like theirs of WLS. I was not going to mention it anyway at work!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
