sk14712012 31 Posted March 16, 2013 Should I eat and drink as a one off, going cinema, so planning to have nachos and slush?

kimikat3 150 Posted March 16, 2013 I'm not sure I'm understanding your question... Are you asking if you should drink your slushy and eat your nachos together? (Avoid the normal 30minute rule)??? If that's what your asking, I personally wouldn't, but then again, I'm pretty new in my surgery (2/26). I can see how a trip to the movies would be difficult when it comes to planing your Snacks. I have always had my snack and drink together... That's a big change to switch it around. Hopefully a veteran sleever will respond to this!
johnlatte 1,232 Posted March 16, 2013 Eating and drinking together, is something that I would not do. Eating nachos and slush again is something that I would not do. But as I tell a lot of people on this board, your level of success is directly tied to what YOU decide to do. I can't absolve you from what I think is an unwise decision, but you are the one that has to make the call. Eating and drinking together certainly won't be of too much harm, neither will obesity up to a certain point. Enjoy the movie.
Success2013 186 Posted March 16, 2013 when I went to the movies a few weeks ago I packed in my purse a cheese stick and a dill pickle, because they did not sell them at the theatre. then I bought a bottled Water.< /p>
abetterme4.2 268 Posted March 16, 2013 Should I eat and drink as a one off' date=' going cinema, so planning to have nachos and slush?[/quote'] I have no idea what a "one off" is. Sorry. I, myself, would be concerned with the salt from nachos (and whatever is in that cheese concoction) and the sugars from the slushy. But, thats only if it were my sleeve. Depending how far out you are, the sugars from that can make you feel quite ill. AND, some slushy's are carbonated. Icee and slurpee - the major difference between them is carbonation. (Yes, I googled it prior to surgery, from the manufacturer website. lol) Good luck with whatever you decide. Have fun at the movies!
