cinward2001 141 Posted May 31, 2013 You know, I remember first posting in this thread and feeling like "Darn, I wish I'd been sleeved sooner!" As in, wishing I was at the beginning of May instead of the middle! LOL Hard to believe the month is almost over. I'm about 2.5 weeks post-op, eating soft foods, and feeling pretty good! Hope everyone is mending well!

jtower97 28 Posted May 31, 2013 Sleeved on Wednesday the 29th, taking it one day at a time. Trying to get my liquids in but it is very difficult. I do not have any desire to eat or drink anything, except sugar free Popsicles; they have been a lifesaver! 1 mistysj reacted to this
Lego78 8 Posted June 1, 2013 Sleeved on Wednesday the 29th, taking it one day at a time. Trying to get my liquids in but it is very difficult. I do not have any desire to eat or drink anything, except sugar free Popsicles; they have been a lifesaver! Same here, I was sleeved Tuesday, and only tolerated Water and sugar free popcicles. Today I was able to drink butternut squash Soup and felt a lot better. I hope I am over my "weak" hump.
palomarules 45 Posted June 1, 2013 Palomarules' date=' I was sleeved on the 28th also. I am doing really well but struggling to get enough liquid. I would love to hear how you're doing. Jellybean[/quote'] Hi Jellybean, I got home the hospital yesterday and feel fine, but maybe a bit gassy. I have only had two sons of yoghurt and three spoon of apple sauce in four days. I have absolutely no appetite and have to make myself sip Water. I love not wanting to eat, but wonder how long this will last. Someone mentioned wanting a cheeseburger, but I only imagine my stomach being ripped apart by the idea. My surgery was Wednesday and today is Saturday and I've already lost 3kg, nearly 7 lbs. I am pleased with that. Let me know how you're getting on.

We got this! 1 Lego78 reacted to this
tigerbelle 328 Posted June 1, 2013 it does get better once you are able to move on to soft foods...I will be 4 weeks out Monday and am almost ready to start introducing a few more dense foods...definitely not planning on adding any starches (bread, Pasta, rice, potatoes, corn) though...I have been in a stall for the last week, and it is very discouraging, but here I am getting encouragement to stick with the plan and hang in there
ramirelek 59 Posted June 1, 2013 I dont want to be measuring every week, but I figure out that if I dont do it I would not know if I am or not an a stall. Ohh what should I do.
k8ee 131 Posted June 2, 2013 I figure that I should be measuring my weight. Weekly at least instead of daily! I think it's good to set a day to do this each week and to also set yourself some goals. i think this will also help me move towards and achieving lifestyle changes. wesc04 6 Posted June 2, 2013 Hello all- well I was sleeved on may 31st. I was pretty nauseous on day 1 and 2 and the gas and acid reflux pains were unbearable. I went home yesterday 6/1 was still pretty nauseous and I tried taking my first dosage of hydrocodone but I could not keep it down so I threw it up and just did not take it. Day 3 is much much better. The nausea seemed to subside, did a morning walk and took my hydrocodone and was able to keep it down this time, just sipped it slower this time. I also had a Popsicle earlier which was awesome and I am sipping on Isopure and Water as I write this. Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here on out. Those acid reflux pains gotta go lol. Anyway ready to officially start the journey now that all the nausea is out of the way. Thanks for all the support
