getlownurse 105 Posted June 24, 2013 Try different Protein Shakes. If you have a smoothie king near you, get a gladiator. Tons of Protein and super good.

I am on all clears for 2 weeks post op & my doc doesn't include Protein Shakes with that. They OK'd me to use the chicken Soup made with Water & I've had it a bunch. Also, what about unflavored Protein powder mixed into Crystal Light or something? That's still slightly sweet, but not the overwhelming sweet of the premade shakes.< /p>

southernsoul 773 Posted June 25, 2013 Southern soul I too enjoy the unjury chicken Soup. Tastes good and its protein! How are you? I'm doing OK, Amy. I'm struggling a little with diarrhea, so trying really hard to stay hydrated. I wasn't expecting to have to do clears for 2 full weeks after, but I'm trying to stick with it & still get the nutrients I need. The chicken soup has been great for me. How are you doing? Vermillymomma82 39 Posted June 26, 2013 Thanks ladies...I am getting some tomorrow. I was scared to try it and waste my $ because I already bought a veggie Soup and its like drinking veggie flavored chalk lol
rk62 3 Posted June 26, 2013 I just had my two week post op visit and was told I'm doing good. Had a couple of incision sites that were infected but antibiotics cleared that up. I started yogurt and Soup early, my nut said it was ok as long as I could tolerate it. I've lost 18lbs so I'm happy and I'm walking about 1/4 mile a day. My only concern is I like the Greek yogurt by stony field (blueberry flavor) and my nut says its a good source of Protein (13 grams) however I don't think either of us realized that each cup has 15 grams of sugar! Is that too much or will it be ok? I haven't heard back from the Dr. Office yet.
