SpaceDust 585 Posted April 8, 2013 Question' date=' is it possible to fracture your kneecap when performing yoga? At the end of my sat yoga, there was a loud crunch on my right knee, on the surface. This happened after some knee balancing exercises. I spent a while yesterday trying to feel the differences between right and left knees and did not feel any differences. However, it has an acute pain from time to time. Just like a pin point small pain; certainly manageable. No Fluid building up nor any bruising. I can still kneel on it without any issue. It does not seem to affect running. Just wondering.[/quote'] Are you sure it was on the surface? It sounds a bit like when I tore my meniscus several years ago. Fiddleman 4,376 Posted April 9, 2013 Should I go get a scan of it? It does not seem to inhibit me much in running ( today), but I definitely feels different on that knee. Kind of like a little heated and achy when sitting at my computer desk. It was like a really large pop on Saturday and I thought, that can't be good. No pain really though that is constant and it is only minor when I do notice it. Not really an issue though. It does not feel like it would stop me.
SpaceDust 585 Posted April 9, 2013 Can't hurt to get it checked. At least you'd know if you need to ease up on it for a few days. I'm uber cautious about knees, though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using VST
notmeanymore 629 Posted April 9, 2013 My knees get pretty bruised up during those poses. I have to resort to bringing an extra towel to roll up and put under my knee or I was considering bringing one of those gardening pads. They are nice and cushy. Im so sorry that your knee is hurty. Be careful sweety.
