whitneyb 1 Posted March 15, 2013 Hello everyone! I have a big problem i am pre op and after attending my pre op classes my insurance requires me to attend i learned that i have to lose 5% of my body weight. The problem is i have gained 15 pounds. In order for my insurace to cover the surgery i must lose the weight by the 6 month mark which is june. Seems like far off but its really not. The nutritionist has suggested i do a liquid diet. I have about 30 pounds to lose and keep off until june. Any suggestions of diet plans or anything i can do.

johnlatte 1,232 Posted March 15, 2013 how about tracking what you eat (maybe with myfitnesspal), eat less of it and exercise more? Knock off the junk food, the empty calories, the alcohol. Get plenty of Water and try to walk about 1 mile a day (or 10000) steps. You should be in good shape by the time you have your surgery.
samantha(: 1 Posted March 15, 2013 And watch your sodium intake, more sodium leads to Water retention which leads to weight gain .
