delta_girl 931 Posted March 14, 2013 23.50 to be exact. All brand names, all from Goodwill. It took some hunting and dressing room time and 4 different trips in all. Pre vsg I had in 2 large closets sizes 20, 18, 16, and some 14. I had gotten to the point where even the 20s were tight and only a few items fit. That was in July of 2012. I was 5'3 218 lbs. mow I'm around 150 lbs and wearing a size 10. No way am I investing in a new wardrobe yet. I actually love my pants and capris from Goodwill. I selected carefully. They have no stains, tears or worn spots. Some even look and feel new. Don't be afraid to go to Goodwill, yard sales, the Salvation Army or consignment shops. 1 mattuti86 reacted to this

gmanbat 5,889 Posted March 15, 2013 Delta Girl, you're my kinda folks. I am happy to discover that my new home in Florida is near many second hand stores including Goodwill and Sally Anns, (Salvation Army). I have never felt even a twinge of shame going into such places. They were my refuge when I could not buy clothes big enough in regular stores and they helped me during my various stages of shrinking. Now that I am pretty well at a stable place, I still go there. I have bought some really good clothing, many with new tags still attached.
johnlatte 1,232 Posted March 15, 2013 i shop the smiling g all the time, Probably 70% of my clothes come from there. I don't feel bad when they get too big (or to little, pre-sleeve). I just re-donate them back.
