amytug 996 Posted March 14, 2013 After surgery, and was it aerobic, resistance, or both? My paperwork says at the 2 month mark I can exercise, but I do NOT like floppy fat. I feel so much better about my weightloss while working out. That said, I don't feel good enough to exercise yet. (At 12 days)
KimMarh 99 Posted March 14, 2013 I started cardio my third week ... and gradually worked up my 4th week I was doing light weights for my legs.

Gina6682 8 Posted March 14, 2013 I started 2 weeks post-op. My surgeon said I was pretty much healed by then. I do Zumba and work out with a trainer twice a week - we do a lot of "functional exercises" ie squats, lunges, etc and light weights. No problems and I have lots more energy! The only thing I notice is occasionally when I engage my core/abdominal muscles too much, I can feel where the muscle was cut on to get my stomach out but it's not bad at all. mark! 449 Posted March 16, 2013 Mine just says "as tolerated" but officially, 4 weeks I can start "hard" cardio, running, road bike, etc and 6 weeks full release back to lifting weights and such.
mikeross 216 Posted March 16, 2013 I pretty much played it by how my body felt. I was back in the gym doing full on cardio at about 3 weeks and lifting heavy at 1 month out.
