Weight loss varies for EVERYBODY. Some high bmi'ers lose really slowly losers, and some low bmi'ers lose quickly. I lost nearly 1/2 my body weight in 5 months. Started at 210lb, now 120lb. Exercise plays a part, as does Water intact and diet.

Fast or slow, the weight WILL come off. Good luck.

Yeah, I wouldn't get hung up on all the generalisations. It's different for everyone.

Just tick all the boxes as far as your diet and exercise is concerned and don't worry so much about what you can't control ie how fast you'll lose. It's not a race! :)

You have to remember that the higher the BMI the higher the weight, so it would make sense that someone who has a lot to lose will lose it faster that those who have less and therefore lower BMI.

I feel like I am losing slowly and I am a low bmi. I have been searching the forums to find information of percentages of excess weight loss per month, but I can't find anything. When I look at the percentage of excess weight I have lost, it seems a lot better than the number of pounds I have lost.

I would avoid focusing on how many pounds others have lost when you have so much less to lose. I will say, I went into this surgery knowing I would have stalls and actually wanting to lose slowly to avoid skin issues as well as having my weight loss seem more natural. Still, living it, it has been very hard to see the scale move so slowly over the last few weeks. I will be 2 months out on the 18th and have only lost a bit over 4lbs in my second month. It is vey frustrating and makes me feel like I am doing something wrong. I log all of my food and get all my Protein in and most of my Water (I need to work on my water), and I exercise 3-4 days a week. I am eating between 600-800 calories a day. I am REALLY trying to be patient.

Well I m actually the opposite . Might sound funny but right now I'm 5'3 and 163 and feel like I'm at a perfect weight , and main concern ( sleep apnea is pretty much gone ) . I was kinda scared at losing it too fast because i was scared of extreme hair loss, that's what happened to my sister . Regardless I know I am gonna lose hair but maybe if I lose slower it won't be so bad.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
