tami88 73 Posted March 13, 2013 Hi All, Wanted to get feedback/advice from other fellow sleevers about plateaus. I started at 225 (2/13) and now am 202. I have stayed the same for a week. Is that normal? Can you offer any advice? Week 1 - 16 pounds Week 2 - 4 Week 3 - 3 Week 4 - 0 I do know the body needs time to adjust - Any stories or advice would be awesome. (I KNOW I SHOULD JUST STAY OFF THE scale - BUT IT's SOO hard!) Thank you Tami
amytug 996 Posted March 13, 2013 It's the famous 3rd week stall. I've seen it mentioned. Very common. Chin up friend, the weight WILL come off. And 16 lbs the first week is crazy!!
PdxMan 4,292 Posted March 13, 2013 Amy is correct. You are right where you are supposed to be. Have you read about the 3rd week stall on here? Search the site. This is probably the most commonly posted thread.
HoosierGirl 780 Posted March 13, 2013 Tami - on weeks 2-3 I was stalled for 9 days. Especially frustrating as I have been following the post-op diet to the letter. One day the scale went UP 2 lbs and I completely freaked out/panicked. Got in touch with Dr. Miranda. Her words were "Relax. Weight fluctuation is very normal after surgery. Keep following the diet, stay off the scale. You do have restriction." The weight loss has resumed and now I feel more prepared for the next stall. Good luck!!!
