bradsgirl007 12 Posted March 13, 2013 I am so thankful to be losing the weight. I was sleeved on 12/28/12 and am down 47 lbs. I love it, 3 more lbs to my half way point, couldn't ask for better right?? But I still can't get this Vitamin and Water thing down. I am suppose to take special Bariatric Vitamins three times a day. The taste isn't so bad anymore, I just have some sort of block to it. Maybe it's he horrible taste I had from the beginning, maybe forgetfulness, who knows, I just hate to take them. And the water?? I do great some days and terrible the next. Please tell me it gets better? I am starting to lose hair!
mikeross 216 Posted March 13, 2013 Who told you you need to be taking a special bariatric Vitamin. I can understand if your a DS or bypass patient but us VSGers dont have malobsorption issues. I would just go with a Vitamin that taste decent and you can stomach. I suggest the flintstone chewables. I was taking Celebrate bariatric Vitamins and they made me puke. Since switching to Flinstones I have no issues, they go down good and taste decent. I only have to take 2 a day as well. Once I am 6 months out i am going to switch to a 1 a day Multivitamin. good luck.
moregoodtimes 331 Posted March 13, 2013 I spent a fortune on Vitamins and ended up with flintstone complete chewables as well... The very one my nut suggested! I had some off brand chewables, then some from Bariatric Advantage suggested on this site and simply could not make myself take them.... And im pretty tough! Ive settled in nicely with fred and barney!
Vidalia 122 Posted March 13, 2013 I just could not tolerate the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins, though I forced myself to take them for a month. I switched to Vitafusion gummies, 2/day. I get them at Sams Club. It has literally changed the quality of my life not to have to take those bariatric vitamins. My 3 month blood work was perfect.
