Your stomach might give a tiny bit with the sleeve, but it won't stretch. The part of the stomach they make the sleeve with isn't stretchy like the part of the stomach they use for gastric bypass. You will get better at eating with the sleeve with a little time, which makes it seem like it stretched.

I'm almost 7mo post-op and I still eat a 1/3 of what my 3 yr old eats so I don't think this thing is going to stretch and it's not for a lack of trying lol. Even if it gives a little, you'll never be able to eat the way you used to before surgery.

Good info....I have not heard about people gaining their wt back...any information out there that anyone wants to share. In our nutrition class they did say that at the two year mark some people gain 10-20 # and that we should make sure it doesn't go above 10#

We CAN gain the weight back. Has nothing to do with stretching anything and has EVERYTHING to do with what you eat.

My way of thinking is anything that if doesn't make me feel full it's considered a slider and is what I need to avoid the rest of my life. Always abstain from it? No, but I avoid it if I want to be the new thinner and healthier me.. And stay that way.

Never ever forget that you can gain the weight back.
