I was sleeved on Feb 18th...I lost 18lbs so far, but it seemed to have stopped. I'm doing everything I'm supposed to 500-600 cal/ day. Anyone experiencing the same thing??

worse......sleeved the 21st and only lost 8 lbs since surgery. keep doing everything right and we'll eventually lose....the bright side, less saggy skin so it really helps at my age - 49 :D

Do a search for week 3 stall and you'll find that having a stall about... 3 weeks after surgery is pretty common.

Sleeved on 2/19. Lost 12lbs as of first appt. last week and 25lbs overall. Scheduled to weigh in tomorrow but am a little nervous, as I am on week 3 now.

Yep, my stall started week 3 and lasted for three weeks. It happens. Just keep following your doctor's guidelines and your body will pick up again with the weight loss. :) Stalls are for your body to catch up with everything. (It helps to keep a positive spin on them because otherwise they will drive you insane.)

This is so common that you will be laughing at yourself for ever posting this once you are a little further out. This question is asked almost daily.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
