YOU'RE NOT HUNGRY. you should be eating every 3- hours small Protein rich meals. Drink Water, Go for a walk ( small or big) GO find something to do. Set a Timer for 30 min. Drink more Water. If after 30 min if your still hungry have some protien.

If your tummy "feels" hungry make sure you are are on a effective PPI.

Sarah not sure why you think someone can't be hungry 3 weeks out. I'm on a PPI and I get hungry. I agree that eating every few hours keeps hunger at bay. To the OP, follow your Drs orders but right now I enjoy cheese sticks, Greek yogurt, meatballs, and really soft veggies.

Don't worry, I was hungry all the time too at that stage.. I ate quite often, however making all the right choices, which was mostly Protein. When I started to incorporated more foods (on next stage), the hunger was def not as bad. I am very happy with my results, 42 pounds down, 9 weeks post op.. You will do fine, Good Luck!

Thanks! I am on Prilosec and have been on it for months, even before surgery. I heard it takes some time for Grehlin, the hunger hormone, to calm down. I guess I'll give it more time before I don't feel hungry anymore
