I don't think you should eat anything ...specialy the first two weeks.

it's not right...you need time.

i was told to stay on Fluids for two weeks , then mased food ( 4-6 ) weeks. depend on you.

after that you can go back to normal food. however, it must be healthy and you need to chew it slowly.

you can find a lot of info here. but i think you need to check with your doctor.

I have been eating Greek yogurt, with fudge brownie Protein added. I mix it in the blender. The taste isn't bad and I get the protein. Please call your nutritionist, sounds like your stomach is saying too much too soon. I hope that this helps.

Don't ever say you feel stupid, everybody was new at this once. I don't care if they were sleeved 5 years ago and are quite successful, they were new at this. I am just learning to listen to my body, something I never did before I just ate and ate and ate. Already I can try something and say it works or it doesn't. You have listened to your body enough to know that the meat thing isn't working now. Go to the nutrition section of the forum, you will find a lot of ideas on how to get Protein in and recipes. :D

Every surgeon has their own requirements. But only you know what your body will tolerate. If your tummy says no to meat, try cottage cheese, sf pudding, refried Beans, and a Protein Drink. No need to feel stupid. :-) We are all here because we are unsure about eating in the beginning.

Start with one oz, and then if you feel you can eat more try the last half half oz.

I'm 2 weeks sleeved today and I had a few bites of chicken salad. I put the chicken in my food processor and then added eggs to it too. I put unflavored greek yogurt (instead of mayo) and made it mushy. I had very small bites and I chewed very well.

I had refried Beans & I thinned them with a bit of Water and then I added a tbsp of unflavored Greek yogurt to it and stirred it in very well.

Tomorrow I will try canned tuna in Water and I'll mix it with Greek yogurt as well.

I just bought a container of oatmeal (the type you cook) and I'm going to add a spoon of flavored greek yogurt to my oatmeal when I make it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
