DOS 2.26

Currently holding at 19 lbs from DOS. I'm a little bummed about it, but I have not been getting all fluids in nor Protein. It is getting much better. I do a real good job getting liquids in during the work day.

When the weekend comes around, its a bust! I also find I'm want more to drink after working out.

I have 3 weeks more before I can go on pureed food! I guess I will have a celebratory Protein Shake on my Birthday!!! :-)

Man that is a long time to be on full liquids. I started pureed food the second week after surgery. But if its what your doc ordered then hang in there. My surgery date was 2/26 also and I still have a hard time getting everything in. The days will get better.

I was sleeved on 2/26. Down 30lbs including preop. Lost 16 lbs on liquid diet. Having a hard time getting in Water and Protein. Hopefully I will figure out what I need to do to kick this WL into high gear.

MRSBRYANT

I had surgery on 3/26 and am having a tough time. I can't drink any liquids and am lucky if I get a couple of swallows down. Nothing taste good even water. Did you or anyone have a tough start. I'm tired of reading how great the surgery is.

I had surgery on 3/26 and can't seem to get my fluids or Protein in. Did you have this problem? The taste in the mouth is horrible.

I was sleeved Feb 7 and today marks my 8 week post- op anniversary. I am down 35 lbs so far. I've been sick for the last week and unable to walk like I had been doing. Hopefully the weight loss will kick into high gear when I get back into my routine. I am loving the results, but I do miss being able to eat more than 5 bites of my meal.

The surgery for me was no cake walk in the beginning. I couldn't get in enough Fluid and was borderline dehydrated. I was nauseated constantly and couldn't move my bowels for about 3.5 weeks. I fought depression for about four weeks. But now I sometimes have to remind myself that I even had the surgery. I do still fight to get in Protein and water but even that's getting better. So I can promise that if you hang in there things will get much better. Those first few weeks were the worst but it should get easier every day.

I started at 213, and am now 180. I would like to lose 40-45 more.

I know I sound like a broken record, but hang in there. You will feel vast improvement every week. The more you walk, the quicker the healing process. I am 6 weeks post-op today and feel zero effects of the surgery. I have to learn to slow down when eating (because it hurts if I eat too fast), but the results speak for themselves. Drink as much as you can, and don't push yourself. The surgery works, and will undoubtedly add years to your life. The discomfort you feel now is temporary.
