xcillax 24 Posted March 11, 2013 So before I start, let me just say that tomorrow I am going to seek a legal counselor and ask these questions but figured i'd ask here to see if anyone has ever experienced this themselves.... I'm a single mother to a 3 year old daughter, her father is active military and is stationed in Colorado(we are in Texas & he is moving back in spring of 2014). I am currently going through my 3-month supervised diet, and i've been thinking and researching everything I possibly can about the sleeve. Now, I know death is very rare with the sleeve but there is always that possibility and I want to be sure I am prepared for the unexpected..god forbid something goes wrong, I want my mother and my daughters father to have joint custody because I know if he had sole custody he would not keep in contact with my side of the family, which would be heartbreaking for my little one. So, who do I contact about this? or is it even possible to have it arranged? or would my ex and mother have to file joint custody themselves? Sorry for all the questions i'm just kind of lost as to where to start or what to do....
Garlandfam 12 Posted March 11, 2013 You can do a will...any lawyer can provide the information that you need for the will and can also tell you if it is legally binding. there may be a problem because he is a live. I am no expert by far but a lawyer will be able to tell you all you need to know about this situation.
Jacqueline Marie 73 Posted March 11, 2013 I had to do something like this as well. Except my daughters father is a piece of crap! I want my father to have custody just "in-case", I did a will and a custody upon death form as well with a lawyer.
