Haven't tried it yet but will be. Thanks for the advice. I've tried many Protein shakes and I hate them all so far.

You are so in my thoughts. I'm 12 days out and have tried my fair share of Protein. Still searching for something that I like...urgh..lol.

Bariatric Advantage tastes metallic to me, too. I thought I would not be able to have surgery if I had to drink BA. Then I tasted unjury and felt I could live with it. I think it may be the Vitamins in BA that give it that taste.

Thanks all for the advice. Yes I've tried muscle milk and I like it but for some reason most of the Protein I've tried all taste like metal to me. Oh lord don't ask me why I just said metal. It just has a weird after taste that makes me nauseous. I guess I have to keep trying until I find one I like. I sure don't want to be bald. No way! I'm curious to try the unflavored in coffee. I love coffee so this might be it. Looking forward to try this. Thanks again all. I really appreciate your comments.

I wondered if they just wanted me to buy from there.. They sell Celebrate, Bariatric Advantage and unjury brands

This is your answer. Personally I stopped buying anything from my nutritionist/hospital store after a discussion/disagreement concerning Vitamins. In the end, you have to do what works for you, not what your nutritionist sells.

Keep trying until you find a shake/drink that you can tolerate. Hit GNC or other such stores and see what they offer in the way of samples/individual sizes or jump online and order some sample packs. That way you can try without wasting large amounts of money. Here are a couple of links but there are more out there.

Have you tried unflavored or vanilla Protein with the Crystal Light fruit Punch? I've found it's. a nice change from just plain favors. You can use Water or milk.

Ok so I tried SYNTAX vanilla bean. It has 23g of Protein. I mixed it with skim milk which has 11 g per cup. It taste pretty good. I think my problem was in texture. The thickness in the shake. Using the powder with skim milk made it thinner and more tolerable to drink. I think I'm gonna stick to this for now. Not bad for 33 g in one cup. I can do this!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
