SuzyQgonnabeskinny 2 Posted March 10, 2013 I had my VSG 3/1/12. At first I did great. I lost 50lbs in 6 months. Since then, I haven't been able to lose anything. I also have not gained, so that is something. I went from eating 900 calls per day to 1200 overnight because I noticed on my Dr.s plan I was supposed to beat 1200. Well, since then.....nothing. I have went down to 1000 cal per day hoping this would help.....nothing. I am at my wits end. ANYBODY HAVE ANY THOUGHTS PLEASE??????? 1 victoryinJesus53 reacted to this
victoryinJesus53 21 Posted April 19, 2013 I have found by increasing my calories just past 1200 to 1500 helps to get the weight to move and my nurse swears by this. I too yet struggle with a plateau as some days I am not able to eat as much. For instance today for Breakfast , lunch, dinner and 2 Snacks I have only taken in 816 calories. I am getting hungry gain, which means I need again. 1 SuzyQgonnabeskinny reacted to this
SuzyQgonnabeskinny 2 Posted April 22, 2013 Thank you VictoryinJesus53!!! This is an answer for me!! I have not gotten much help from the dietician or the nurse at the hospital. Just from what I have read on this website and your suggestion - I am hoping I may have an answer!! God Bless You!!
victoryinJesus53 21 Posted May 1, 2013 Keep plugging at it and remember to try and increase your calorie intake as much as possible. I have since seen my bariatric doctor who encouraged me with the news that I had lost 45 additional pounds since last I seen him during 7/ 2012. Remember God helped us by offering us the opportunity to become healthy for his glory and he will see us through this too.
