argon 3 Posted November 25, 2006 Congrats Doriana! I took the junior strength chewable tylenol too, and if yours is also 160mg per pill, 4 pills is only giving you 640mg, which is a little more than 1 extra strength tylenol (500mg). *I* normally take 2 extra strength, so really, that would be 6 'juniors'. Seems crazy (especially when there's only 18-20 in a bottle)... but that's the way it works out. Don't know about the coffee... that's a q for your dr's office. Personally, I had coffee (and milk!) in the first week, and I'm still alive. But listen to your Dr!
Yoda 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Great to hear things went well Doriana! Take it day by day and you will soon be feeling better. To all those Americans who keep on telling us Canadians to buy "adult" liquid tylenol....how many times do we have to say...HELLLLOOOOOO CANADA HERE>>>>>>>different country....not the same products!!!!! Yeeeeesh; it gets frustrating. Anyways.....sorry Doriana....had to vent. So, yes, as some others have mentioned, I also took children's liquid tylenol and gravol......you can start taking your Vitamins right away if you like. I didn't (thankfully) have much gas pain but I did have gasX and oval on hand. My saviour during the first several days were sugar free (Delmonte juice) popsicles!! Good luck on your recovery! Doriana 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Thank you.... I'm feeling very sore today. All over, actually.. I feel like I've been punched a million times, but I know this is all normal.... I slept a bit more last night, but still very tired. this morning I took only 4 chewable tylenols, so I'll see how that goes. I got some popsicles, the regular ones. I will check in later. Have a great day. :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: :kiss2: Doriana
neenagh 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Doriana, my doc gave me an rx for liquid codeine. Call the doc and ask them to call in an rx to your pharmacy...that stuff is a life saver!
HarleyNana 10 Posted November 25, 2006 I had Creamer in my coffee, (the second day), and I certainly never heard of no milk.
Wheezy 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Doriana, my doc gave me an rx for liquid codeine. Call the doc and ask them to call in an rx to your pharmacy...that stuff is a life saver! Yeah liquid codeine was my friend, but very constipating so Milk of Magnesia (MOM) became another friend. I experienced bad pain for 7 days straight, hope it doesn't last as long for you. CLOE 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Hey Doriana, I'm sorry I missed you grand entrance into bandland. Congratulations!!!! I also was given a script for liquid codeine. I only used it once, but it was GOOD. Take care.
BigBootyGirl 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Congratulations Doriana! :clap2: I'm glad to hear that all went well. Dr. Coburn is a great surgeon. I saw what people were saying about the gas, and the Gas-X (I used the Gas-X strips..awesome!) works wonders. :thumb: I also walked, but not as frequently as some guys on here. I think just take it as you can. It sounds like you're healing really well already! Woohoo!:gluck:

ReneBean 3 Posted November 30, 2006 Congrats, Doriana! Now is no time to keep a stiff upper lip. Take your pain meds - whatever your doc has prescribed, or lots of tylenol. Pain is bad. Oh - and I am with Pat - I can't stand coffee without milk. I did it right away and had no problems. Good luck!
