smallbird 168 Posted March 9, 2013 Ive been looking into Paleo alot because they tend to use almond flour, got me thinking that would be high in Protein no? I wouldnt mind using that as a bread subs. I already use quinoa now as rice since quinoa is really high in protein =D
No game 14,437 Posted March 9, 2013 Oh in that case I would go a step further and say why not Ezekiel bread? Here's the info.. I like it Ezekiel 4:9® Bread. No game 14,437 Posted March 9, 2013 my nut mentioned eziekiel bread also' date=' I will get some this weekend, when I go to softs.[/quote'] I might wait until you are on "real" food unless you nut agrees that it's ok now... It is a really dense bread. I did not try bread until I was 3 months out ( mostly because of horror stories I heard about eating to soon) But I will say when you first try it toast it first to help out with the digestion of it. 1 *Dean* reacted to this
cartmansnj 105 Posted March 9, 2013 The Ezekiel bread looks like it has 14 grams if carbs in each slice. Paleo bread has 100 calories and 5 grams of carbs in each slice. Still researching it.

Yeah I get that.. It does definitely have more carbs but I figure they are "complex" and sometimes that's ok . But if you are doing an paleo diet it might not be good 1 *Dean* reacted to this

TES 858 Posted March 9, 2013 If anyone does want to try Ezekiel bread and you don't see it in the fresh food aisle, try your freezer section. It's often sold that way at grocery stores.
