Does Biotin have a weird taste? Or is it like Water? Or minty like mouth wash? My surgeon highly recommended it

Nope, taste like mint. Taste good! Mint is a natural intestional anti-inflammatory.

My vaporizer was the best thing. I also cook with it, there are many ways to use it without smoking. I was more concerned with the healing of my body and the smoke aspect of it. But I've been using a few different strains since my surgery in jan. and they've helped a lot with any pains I have (I have chronic back pain and other issues that I use cannibas instead of taking pain Meds, it makes me feel better and a lot more functional than certain pain Meds prescribed by my doc.)

I'd say you're fine if you know how to handle it. I talked with my doctor about it first, but he had no real concerns since I explained my method of consumption.

Good luck to ya! =)

I remember researching this long before surgery. I'm a little over five weeks out now and I smoked again for the first time last week.

Since then, I've smoked twice more. Honestly, it is something I will probably always do. I am not a big drinker and my body responds good to weed. I get relaxed and it's something that can really make a night out with friends more enjoyable.

As for the munchies, I haven't had any issues. I went to dinner with my friend and had my small plate of food. I ate slow and really relished the taste of it. I actually think I ate slower than I would sober because I was so aware of everything.

Honestly, it's not for everyone. I get that some people will always frown upon it. But I personally think alcohol is far worse for you AND for your sleeve. To each their own!

My very good friend made me some sugar-free pot candies. So good! I am a occasional user, but was very glad to have my "candies". I quit smoking cigarettes for this surgery and I worry if I smoke pot again I will want a cig. I am 4 weeks out and think I will wait a few more weeks, but then again, maybe not! No more cigarettes though!

yes i think alcohol is a billion times worse. it's the only ingestible thing that is poisonous to every single cell in your body. that's crazy, eh?

i dont drink. i never have even sipped alcohol honestly but i will probably always smoke. even my family overseas smoke and they live in a muslim country. i think it's just natural and okay. i also have a prescription for it so it's fine for me :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
