Dmbfan 2 Posted March 9, 2013 I have been given sucralfate and pantoprazole for severe acid. My question is ...I'm supposed to take the sucralfate 4 times a day....but it states you have to take it on an empty stomach (1 hour prior or 2-3 hours after a meal). I eat 5-6 meals a day to try and get all of my food in, so how does everyone else take it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)

Dmbfan 2 Posted March 9, 2013 Does that mean you only take it once a day? Also, I meant to ask in my first post does this medicine help with excess saliva?
doreen70 268 Posted March 9, 2013 No, your doc ordered it four times daily. Take it before your meals ( Breakfast lunch dinner ) and before you go to bed.
