ashleywi 19 Posted March 9, 2013 Why can't I sleep anymore? I was never a super great sleeper but since the surgery, I wake up every night several times per night for a while each time. And even when I don't wake up bunches during the night, I wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning and am done for the night, can't get back to sleep. What is up with this, are others having this problem? Is there a medical explanation? It seems counter intuitive since I am now off caffeine and sweets and other food and drink that used to cause restless sleep. Ugh. Frustrated. Still wouldn't change a thing. Love my sleeve!!
girlchild 5 Posted March 9, 2013 My sleeping patterns were all out of whack during the first month post-op. And I'd always been a great sleeper. It worked itself out soon enough. I think maybe it has to do with the massive hormone fluctuations that come with sudden, dramatic weight loss.
Susie1226 138 Posted March 9, 2013 Same here. My doctor said to just let it resolve itself. It has gotten better but once I'm up I'm up. Can't sleep in.
Amie 90 Posted March 11, 2013 Glad to here I'm not the only one with sleep issues. I was starting to think I was going crazy.
Mrs Havelock 154 Posted March 11, 2013 When your body feels it's lacking food, it can become hyper-alert for any feeding opportunities.
