erp 2,016 Posted March 9, 2013 Follow your doctor's instructions. Get up and walking as soon as you can after surgery. Focus on your milestones not your set backs. Good luck, you'll do great!
Takingcontrol 467 Posted March 9, 2013 Just do as YOUR dr says...don't get caught up in the different things others say cause all of our dr's are different! Just do what yours says & call them if you have any questions or problems...other then that, you will be so glad you took this step!

bethxxx 304 Posted March 9, 2013 Hi I'm 20 and I was sleeved 1/21/13. Don't forget to walk walk walk whenever you have gas pains. It helps so much!! If you have an questions or just want to chat message me. It's nice to have someone the same age to talk to
Emilee68 46 Posted March 9, 2013 I was sleeved on 2/26. First few days was rough...mostly gas though and the more your walk the better. It is uncomfortable to walk around when your bloated with gas but it helps to work it out. Remember to sip your liquids too! All in all it was so worth it and i would do it again. I'm 11 days post op and I already feel so much better and almost back to normal again. I'm also 20 lbs down! You'll do just fine!! Just follow your doctors orders, walk and sip!! diannepj1960 28 Posted March 9, 2013 Just remember this process takes time, listen to your Dr,do not be afraid to ask for something for pain, with me i had a pain pump, and it work wonders, get up and move as soon as the Dr. clear you, walk around the nurses station at lease every two hours.most of all say a prayer before you go in,you will be ok.. tjloser 62 Posted March 9, 2013 Make sure you do exactly what your Dr. tells you. Follow instructions to the letter, don't try to rush things. Please make sure you enjoy your journey, every pound lost, every inch lost and even when there's a stall, sit back and think about all you have done and enjoy. VSGJean 68 Posted March 9, 2013 You'll do great!! This will be the best decision you will ever make for yourself. This forum is here for support, so use it. There are NO stupid questions. I took Gas-X strips for the gas pain. I don't know if they helped or not. I wish I had packed extra PJ's (I was in Mexico).

I never even noticed the gas!
