Sherriews@yahoo.com 56 Posted April 29, 2013 I am in the dreaded and predictable "3-week plateau." I was sleeved on March 11th, lost a pound a day for three weeks, then, for the last week, zero, zilch, nada. Can't wait to get back to the previous pace, or even justo consistent loss. I've read a lot about the plateau, somI knew it was coming, but I still don't like it. Bigdog, it is normal to have head hunger since we have so many adjustments to make in our lives. Actually, after a while, u may not want to eat at all...thus the no. of sleevers that fight anorexic tendencies. There's lots of research, according to athe surgeon, that there may be actual Central Nervous System changes that we go thru!! Don't worry unless it persists, and if it does, consult with ur surgeon or nut...
Sherriews@yahoo.com 56 Posted April 29, 2013 I've been in a 3 wk long stall!!! Have tried everything to break it. I was sleeved 3/8/13 and have only lost 17 lbs total. I feel terrible about the scales, but I have lost inches. I've been reassured that the scales WILL eventually move again...can't happen soon enough for me!!! But, today has been a better day, trying to change my mindset everyone says 6 mo from now this will be just a dream.... 2 angela3472 and BuriedBombshell reacted to this

At least my clothes are getting bigger show I am losing cm. should have measured myself as well the kg will start coming off again. Cannot wait. I am almost 6 weeks out. Good luck and keep us up to date:) 1 Sherriews@yahoo.com reacted to this
ShellyBean 38 Posted April 30, 2013 Tomorow is 6 weeks for me and I have been in the stall for 3 weeks. I'm so grateful to hear I am not alone. Today I actually felt hungry and gave in. I ate about 1000 cals which doesn't seem like a lot but I normally don't feel like eating. Its been like a chore (I never would have believed it) What is everyones cal in take. I really am not sure where I'm supposed to be at. 2 BuriedBombshell and Sherriews@yahoo.com reacted to this
angela3472 35 Posted April 30, 2013 Ok, went to my 6 week post op....225.7 and was told keep chugging along!! Still full liquids, applesauce consistency...and sip sip sip. He said my choice in egg Protein was great and that as long as I keep going the way I am I'll be very successful. He did confirm to me...to expect stalls and not get discouraged. It's our bodies way of saying whoa nelly what's happening here? Our bodies will freak out and plateau at times and think either we are starving or try and retain Water, or just try to readjust to our changes. He said do not give up...keep moving forward our bodies and weight will catch up. 1 Sherriews@yahoo.com reacted to this

But,1000 should shake things up some from what I've read...I'm gonna try it this week!! Can't hurt, I don't think anyway!! 1 ShellyBean reacted to this
Sherriews@yahoo.com 56 Posted April 30, 2013 I'm at 225 I see my Dr today to find out if I've lost more over the last few days. I'm still chugging along. Is everyone still on full liquids or soft foods? I'm doing my shakes and Jello, pudding, Soups. Just ate 4 baby shrimp ( no breading) a few days ago...had no problems, but not risking anymore until doc says ok. I'm beginning my 8th week out so I can eat anything but steak and pork... Picasosz 0 Posted April 30, 2013 I must say I am so surprised by the people with less than a 80 lbs to loose that are opting for this surgery, This is not the easy way out this is very challenging both physically and mentally, I have personally lost 140 lbs three times ove the past 35 years so I know it can be done without surgery. My problem is that it was a 10 year cycle each time to loose and then gain the weight back, at 50 I dont have that many 10 year cycles left. Every time I lost the weight before the sleeve it was diet and exercise... Guess what sleevers it is the same thing after the sleeve... Diet and exercise!!!! Weight Loss Surgery Is not the Easy WEIGH out.
