My Nut explained we lose in increments kind of like a stair, you lose some and then level off then lose more and level off for a bit. Our body keeps adjusting to the new weight loss. Also here is a link with some useful info.

http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html I also keep my carbs under 20, I have hit a few stalls but I do keep losing inches.

Thank u, I have had very little info provided from my Nut or anyone at the Bariatric Center. Strange how our body adjusts itself! I've been keeping my carbs under 30, but I can do under 20. Thank you for the website , I will go there now :). Thanks again...

Well guys' date=' my one lb a day was WONDERFUL while it lasted, but now a week with no loss. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> anybody got any more wt loss tricks??[/quote']

Just remember, it couldn't have lasted. That kind of loss just isn't sustainable. I seem to have entered this phase of about one week of plateau, followed by a few days of pound-a-day loss...maybe that's the new normal now? But a pound day for weeks and weeks on end is probably something only the massively obese with hundreds of pounds to lose experience.

That's true, but it sure was great, lol!! I thought sure I had hit gold by dropping my carbs so low, but I'll keep trudging along!!!

Sleeved 3/8/13 @ 240 pounds. Today down to 205; happy with my results so far. Finally working out and anxious to continue and reach my goal!

We were sleeved the same day, I was 256 and down to 226... Can't wait to get in the teens!!

We are def on our way! I don't weight myself often because of the stalls and I start obsessing over the scales so once a month is all for me.

I want to do that, but I guess I'm soooo afraid of regaining (like all the other times) that I've become addicted. If I can get to 220, I will promise myself to only weigh once per week and lessen from there....I have to take baby steps to break this morning habit. At least it's only in the mornings now!!

Three things I never thought I'd want in my house:

1. A big brown ugly recliner

2. A snuggie

3. A plastic shower chair

This is my life:

I sit in the recliner, covered with the snuggie with the remote in one hand and my iPhone in the other. I watch trash tv all day in my room with the door closed while taking double the pain meds. I smoke pot with my cousin about twice a day. I sip Premier Protein shakes. I chew ice. I worry about this pain and that pain and wether they are normal. I walk. My grandmother gave me a bell to ring. My husband rubs my hands and thighs till I fall asleep at night.

This is literally the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Don't hate ;-)

I envy you!!! lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
