Im 12 weeks out and an example of my daily menu is:

Breakfast = 1/2 cup of skim milk or 1/2 cup cottage cheese (both have protein)

Couple hours later = a couple pieces of turkey Jerky and an ounce of trail mix with soy nuts (all has protein)

lunch = 6 or 7 cold shrimp or a couple of ounces of a lean meat with a half piece of cheese (Protein protein)

Couple hours later = about 10 little yellow tomatoes with some bleu cheese crumbles with a tablespoon of olive oil or some black raspberries (gotta get some fiber)

dinner = tilapia filet (takes about an hour to eat)

snack = an ounce or two of berries or a little slice of watermelon or some trail mix

All day long though I drink hot Decaf green tea. I dont eat any breads, rice or crackers at all. I get my carbs from fruits or veggies or trail mix usually. I am beginning to juice also so that I can incorporate more of the nutrients that I dont have the room for from fruits and veggies.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
