Bsb1012 2 Posted July 6, 2013 No worries ladies.. I'm about 8 months out and it finally stopped around the 6th month.. I have started to notice how much fly away hairs i have now' date=' but all of that is new growth! I also started to wash my hair with a bosley Shampoo on Amazon and that helped a bit.. they also have a treatment but it's a little pricier.. keep taking your Vitamins and keep up with the Protein..I promise it will soon stop![/quote'] I'm only 4 1/2 months out and almost completely bald. The weight loss is NOT worth being so embarrassed and feeling like everyone is staring at me. So NOT worth it especially if I have to go through the Hair loss process for a few more months!! I'm taking 10,000 Biotin and washing my hair with Biotin. Getting all my Protein in, I just want to crawl in a hole. Being fat is easier than being bald. I buy a liquid form that taste like peach push up, consitant is like yogurt . Taste great & no fishy taste. ( I give to my 6 year old son for hyperactivity). The brand is "Breleen's" I believe. They have a genric version as well thats just as good. I get whatever is on sale. I get it at the Vitamin shoppe. You might wanna try that along with what you are already doing. Good luck. Raedina 6 Posted July 16, 2013 Yeah I was pretty disgusted about the Hair loss and I didn't notice much difference while taking 5,000 Biotin. In the past before my surgery, I used Viviscal with great results and MSM but I couldn't afford Viviscal along with the other supplements I had to take and MSM is just terrible tasting (but works lol)! If you take it, the Water should be warm so it dilutes the crystals and you want to mix it with lemon. With my taste buds changing and all, I just couldn't force myself to continue. Initially I was using MSM for knee pain but then I found out it was very good for the hair. Make sure you start off with a low dosage. I went to fast and it gave me headaches plus you have to drink lot of water too.
Bsb1012 2 Posted July 16, 2013 I finally went to my hairdresser once I could no longer hide the baldness. She said there's no miracle cure. Biotin will keep ends from breaking, but does not promote Hair growth, though she said it won't hurt to keep taking it. She said the hair growth can move along faster with scalp stimulation. She said Listerine on the scalp helps stimulate it, massaging the scalp helps to stimulate it and even standing on your head does. So I'm just trying to be patient and I know I will get through this too. *sigh*

Try a dermatologist instead of the hairdresser. They can give you a topical agent and possibly injections, which others have had success with.
irish1988 46 Posted July 17, 2013 I had my surgery on Nov 6th of 2012, I haven't been losing my hair at all, does this mean I wont and I am good? Or is there still a chance that somewhere along the line I may loose it? I mean, I guess no one could really know if I may or may not loose my hair, but opinions would help! AngiD 95 Posted July 17, 2013 Losing hair will suck but but it will be worth it in the long run. To be healthier and feel better, I'd shave my head.
