valerie805 4 Posted March 6, 2013 I was sleeved on 2/20 and started soft foods this past Saturday (3/2). I was so excited to get away from liquids only. But wow, I can't eat a thing. I feel like I'm going to vomit right away. Even with apple sauce, I can't possibly chew it, i take very small bites (more like licks), and eat slow. But i feel like it's stuck in my throat and I want to throw up. Did anyone else go through this? I'm worried about my health. I do drink my Protein Shake, but I'm lucky if I get in 350 calories a day.

Valeries I was having the same problem, you may have to put some time between bite or licks...I had to learn what helps me so I can eat, it will get better. You might have to eat a little more slowly. after about 5 bites I will wait about 5 minutes or more and then continue that seemed to help me with that in the throat feelin. I was sleeved the day before you....Just know it does get easier

Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted March 6, 2013 Use baby size utensils. Put your spoon/fork down between bites. Make sure you are using small bowls and measuring all of your portions.
