What 100 pounds less of a Gamer looks like

Recommended Posts

The first shot is me in August 2012, somewhere at or above my highest recorded weight of 383. I'm wearing a size 5x (32/34 or thereabouts) pant and 4x top. The second is about two weeks after my October 22, 2012 procedure in early November. The last is me today at about 280. I'm wearing a size 22 pant and a 2x top.

I don't even recognize the person in the mirror some days and I no longer dread it when people say I look like my pictures. I've still got a way to go, but I'm very pleased with the results a little more than four months out.

Also, a muscle builder Vitamin may help, and doing weights everyday for the triceps. Eat high

amounts of Protein. It would be best to ask the doctor about it and ask a trainer at the gym to

show you some of the tricep building techniques.

Wow! You look fantastic! Ive seen you mention some online games..along with your name, so thought you might find this interesting...I bit the bullet and stopped playing World of Warcraft when i began this process. I decided i needed to use that time to make myself move my butt more. ...was really hard and i still have "hunger pains" for it, but think it was a healthy move for me. Life was way to focused/planned around a guild run! Your progress is so very inspirational! Thanks for showing us!

Good for you

All your hard work is paying off!!!! :)

seeing "less and less" of you in that mirror - it is definitely you!!!! :)

you will gradually say good-bye to that great person - as you continue to see less and less of yourself :)

keep up the great work!!!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
