Chris R 217 Posted March 6, 2013 I'm assuming it's your pre-surgery diet. Keep in mind that the purpose behind it is to make your surgery easier - both for the surgeon, and for YOU! When you feel hungry, drink some Water instead. It can help you feel more satisfied.

MoreganK 164 Posted March 12, 2013 The first few days are the hardest. Don't give up! Do ANYTHING to distract yourself from thinking about food, dieting, eating. Go for a walk, clean the house, learn a hobby, go walk the mall, get lost on Pinterest, shop for pretty smelly things, window shop at a store you can't wait to buy smaller clothes in, get your nails done... do ANYTHING to distract yourself. mommyradd 115 Posted March 13, 2013 It is super hard being on any diet. I think that everyone on this site can relate. Maybe you can start by cutting back on certain foods that you know you eat often, that are high in calories. Prior to surgery,I wanted to start off on a healthier mindset about food. I started with "baby steps." I gave up french fries and ice cream. Because I ate them often, I noticed a change right away.Next, I cut down on the bread and pastas. I lost weight without struggling, or feeling much hunger, because I didn't stop eating; I just changed what I ate. I was a chronic snacker. If I can do it, anyone can! You will be fine. Just stick with your plan, and add healthier choices. I had a lot of string cheese... Just find your go-to snack that is good and satisfying for you. And increase your Protein. Good luck.
