I just cant see my stomach being healed enough or being able to tolerate eggs in the 1st week I just need guidelines to what I have to an need to do' date=' but she is confusing me.[/quote']

Well since they seem to want to clear you so early for those kinds of foods...

I would say in the first week stay with things like chicken broth, watery cream Soups (chicken, mushroom) just make sure you strain them first

And I would do the shakes you want to build up to 60 grams of Protein a day and build up to at least 64oz of Water a day...

You can also do the pudding yogurt thing since she said you could....

You want to take in about 1/4 cup of these things at a time, and don't drink for about 30 minutes after eating. When you do drink take in about 2oz every ten minutes or so.

Are you in soft/ purée?

Try chili, lightly puréed or meatballs and marinara

lightly puréed, hell I even did meatloaf and gravy puréed and malt-o-meal made with chicken broth :)

Yes, I'm on soft and pureed...I've never pureed anything...I mash it if possible and chew it well to almost nothing then swallow. I started back to work last Monday, caught the flu , got hoarse, now I'm trying to get back on track.I work in a super busy pharmacy..I intake scripts, type and fill scripts, and etc...I haven't been getting my Water in, I'm so busy i forget I have a drink to drink. So I've been making my shakes and forget to drink those too. Ughhh..I am trying to focus on my drinking but its almost impossible..lol...a 24oz shake lasts me the whole 8 hours...its that busy...lol..so I try to nibble on tuna or chickebr breast or fish during the day between moving super fast in the pharmacy. I do t know what to do,I am exhausted at the end of the day, then I try to play catchup with drinking my fluids. Omg...lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
