JennyBeth 127 Posted March 5, 2013 For those of you that are post-op how do you prefer to journal your food intake? Is there an app you really like (I have an iphone) or do you prefer the old fashioned way (pen/paper)? I prefer to make lists on pen and paper, but I want a system that is convenient so I make sure to record everything which might be easier with an app since I always have my phone with me. SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted March 5, 2013 I am PRE-op but have been journaling for a quite a while now. I like MFP. Tracks my calories, carbs, fat, Protein and exercise (syncs with my Bodymedia fit).. saves my favorite meals and foods for quick input AND as a super added bonus, you can add friends there if you want for the extra support factor. kidrn72 85 Posted March 5, 2013 I use my fitness pal on my iPhone. It's a free app and you can customize it to your nutrition requirements.
No game 14,437 Posted March 5, 2013 I use an app on my iPhone called calorie count.. I'm a loner..most people here use my fitness pal though... and seem to love it... I just don't like the way it tells me I'm not eating enough and will go into starvation mode, duh!
Takingcontrol 467 Posted March 6, 2013 I use my fitness pal too!
Richard Foor 655 Posted March 6, 2013 I also use myfitness pal, I especially like the bar code scanner on the app as it makes it so much easier to log.
Bree 65 Posted March 6, 2013 I noticed that a lot of people use myfitnesspal. For me I actually prefer fitbit, I have a fitbit scale, a fitbit body movement tracker, and a fitbit app on my phone. It seems to be pretty much the same thing as myfitnesspal but... I think the interface is a lot nicer / better!
