Lisa22465 23 Posted March 5, 2013 I will be relased to a regular diet in a couple of weeks so I have been looking into some recipes that I can cook from places like Weight Watchers and Cooking Light. Some of the recipes call for bread crumbs or panko. I know a lot of you say you have trouble with eating bread but how about bread crumbs or panko? Also, how do you handle the skin on the chicken. Do you eat it or take it off? Do you cook with it on? I know on Atkins it is ok to eat the skin and since we are basically on a form of Atkins, is it okay? BeatrizS1974<3 sleeve 94 Posted March 5, 2013 I have no problem with bread crumbs or panko but i do try to avoid both. I pull the skin off of the chicken (if i am eating out) and if i am cooking i always buy skinless.
VSGKirk 855 Posted March 5, 2013 I have no problems with bread crumbs, Panko or chicken skin. I am really good at sticking to no more than 2 oz of Protein (or anything solid for that matter) at each meal that I don't sweat the carbs or fat. I do however track it all in myfitnesspal because I want to pin-point any problems should they arise. So far, 8 weeks out, no stalls and am averaging about a 3 lb loss per week. lizv123 389 Posted March 5, 2013 I have no problem with bread crumbs whatsoever. But I try to incorporate some nutritional yeast if I'm using panko just for the added Protein
marymouse50 20 Posted March 5, 2013 I am going to use Fiber one Cereal, crush in a food processor or coffee grinder, add whatever spices to it and you can bread anything, I always cook skin and bone on, it makes meat taste better, I would peel skin off for now, maybe at 6 months ask your doctor if you can have it skin on, Mary
