Hopeful in Rochester 10 Posted March 5, 2013 My surgery is scheduled for 1:30 this afternoon. Fear and self-doubt are rearing their ugly heads. What if this doesn't work for me? A lifetime if unsuccessful yo-yo dieting has left me wondering if I'll ever get my weight under control. But I'm hopeful that this tool will help me get to a healthy weight for the first time since elementary school. Today my amazing and supportive husband is going to take some dreaded "before" pictures for me, as well as my measurements. Hope to be able to post some "after" pictures in a few months!! This forum has been a great source of information, inspiration and support. Thanks everyone : )

keybold64 43 Posted March 5, 2013 It's totally normal to be nervous... I was having doubts right up until they put the IV in my arm and wheeled me off, but I can honestly say that I have no regrets whatsoever! Good luck, and welcome to the loser's bench! Diamond Diva 2 Posted March 5, 2013 I understand how you feel. My surgery was last Thursday and I felt the same way. My biggest fear was not waking up. I hate being put to sleep. It is the only thing I can relate to death. Let me tell you how I get over this fear. PRAY! God I pray for my sister in the name of Jesus. Remove all doubt and fear from her spirit, guide the hand of the doctor and the other caregivers that will be taking care of her. Lord forgive her of anything she has done that was not pleasing to you. Bless her to have this new exciting start in life. In Jesus nam Amen! You will be find it is already done.
