lindypops 1 Posted March 5, 2013 I am just starting this journey. So I am a newbie. I keep seeing advertisements for bariatric food. I understand that the amount of food I take in is going to be very limited, but am I going to have to eat special foods for the rest of my life?
johnlatte 1,232 Posted March 5, 2013 no. You'll be able to eat normal, healthy food, just lower quantities. Stay away from the processed stuff.
lindypops 1 Posted March 5, 2013 Thank you. I am so new I don't know if I am even writing in the right place. I keep reading what ppl write and some days I feel good about my decision and other days it scares. The bejesus out of me.
PdxMan 4,292 Posted March 5, 2013 I've never bought a single ounce of the bariatric food you see advertised. I cook all of my meals from scratch and 90% of them take me less than 20 minutes to make. The bottom line, as John points out, is to eliminate processed foods as much as you can. Consume healthy Proteins and carbs. Get a balance of nutrition from your foods, and you'll be fine. Just keep reading and asking questions
