I was normal for me. I didn't start feeling my old energy levels till about week 4. It took a lot out of me to recover from surgery.

When I was going through this, I talked to my NUT. She said it was due to lack of carbs and needed to get more in. I was pureeing Soups, so I added more veggies (corn, onions, green beans) to them. chicken veggie and ham/lentil were some of my favorites.

It worked for me. My energy levels came back within a day or two.

Give it a try and see if it works for you.

I think it's normal too. I'm 4 weeks out but my PA said I won't feel 100 percent normal until 6 weeks out. Things that used to be routine are very tiring even now (big shopping trip, entertaining, etc.). Just trying to pace myself, along with keeping very busy at work. Try to break things up as much as possible. I had a couple days last week, when I may have been having GB issues, where I would work 1 hour, sleep 1 hour--etc. Didn't expect that 3 weeks out, but wanted to listen to my body.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
