Take smaller bites and chew every bite at least 30 times. Especially when you're eating meat. I also try to eat slower when I'm eating dense meat like chicken or steak because the full feeling will sneak up on me when I'm in the middle of chewing a bite and then my choices are to spit the bite of food out or risk sliming. Good luck!

Put the utencil down between bites and assess how the last (small) bite felt. The point is to change our old habit of just inhaling food, but to be conscience of how the food is going in. Starting new habits is difficult, but is important to your long-term success.

Put down the fork!

My hubby is having this same problem....I make him purée his food in the nutribullet...so even though he eats too fast and won't change, it is like it is prechewed for him.

And then I bought the 4 ounce glad containers so whatever he is eating I fill it about 3/4 full since his tolerance is 3 ounces and then you don't overeat.

I find if I do happen to "overeat" i drink some Water as it flushes the food out of your stomach faster...hence the reason they tell you not to do it so you feel full longer.

Truly though the big key is to chew a lot and eat slowly and gauge the size of your tummy, measure your food out to that level and stop once you are there. Good luck!
