NewKristen 356 Posted March 4, 2013 My. Surgeon chose not to use dermabond because of my adhesive allergy. I did have internal sutures' date=' that were supposed to dissolve but did not. At about week 3 my incisions looked infected and started draining a scant amount of purulent drainage. After a week, the sutures pushed out of my nearly healed incisions.[/quote'] Ouch!!! Susie1226 138 Posted March 4, 2013 Staples that were removed the next day after surgery followed by adhesive and steri strips which gave me a bad rash. Steri strips have fallen off now. I have internal stitches which should dissolve on their own. Surgeon did that only for the right incision where he took out my stomach. Said he did that to make sure that I didn't develop a hernia. I was sleeved on 2/19/13.
Lyrakl 15 Posted March 5, 2013 I had my first follow up today and got a glimpse of my incision (I just had one). I've been in a depression ever since. It must be glue holding it together (covered with a steri strip) because it looks like its on the verge of splitting open. I'm scared to move.

tiffy0485 123 Posted March 5, 2013 Unfortunately my doc went staple happy on all 5 of my incisions. It looks awful with not just the incision scars but the staple scaring as well. He got me 27 times! Lol. Straight up gun shot victim.
paigeelaine 5 Posted March 5, 2013 I had internal stitches and steri strips on the four incisions on belly. I also had an incision in my belly button that had three stitches.
