Crystalite 26 Posted March 4, 2013 I think I haven't been getting enough Protein, I been getting bruises and hungry all the time. I haven't been tracking my food like I should. Am trying to keep better track of my protein and Water.< /p>
maalleh 7 Posted March 4, 2013 LOL, no, that's good info! It is true, I believe it has something to do with "denatured Protein," whatever that is. unjury and I would imagine some of the other brands can be heated up to 140 degrees without losing effectiveness or clumping (I use a candy thermometer to check and then keep using the same "recipe" if it's okay--since I'm sure I won't be needing my candy thermometer for much else in the future). Once it starts clumping, I think that's a pretty sure sign that you might as well pitch it and start over. Goodness knows, you don't want to have to drink Protein that's not giving you any protein! I use the Unjury protein products and when I saw this I called Unjury. Heating it does NOT make it unusable by the body. It's probably more of a texture thing. Who wants clumpy hot chocolate? The dietician I spoke with likened it to an egg. Raw, the egg white is a gelatinous liquid, but placed in hot Water it becomes solid. Still protein to the body none the less. Good luck on your journey to a slimmer more healthy you.

The 1 min 40 seconds for the hot cocoa in our high-power microwave seems to be perfect. Temp doesn't get above 140 degrees so the hot cocoa is nice and smooth. I don't think I would have survived full liquids so well without this one up my sleeve!
BethAnn77 12 Posted March 4, 2013 You have to be careful "heating" the Protein powder it renders them useless.. Even the ones that are meant to be "hot" can only be made so hot before they are useless LOL Tess I'm batting a thousand with you today! EDIT I don't know...I just did some reading on heating whey Protein and well everything I heard Is not necessarily true (go figure). Heating it changes it some but does not make it useless so heat on Tess !! I think I read that it will solidify which makes it harder to get down in the beginning. i.e. an egg white turns to solid when heated...

caramelbaby10181 30 Posted March 5, 2013 Does Unjury Unflavored really taste unflavored? Can I put it in Water and not taste it? My vanilla shake is starting to sicken me, I need something else to get my Protein in.
PhilyNurse 119 Posted March 5, 2013 Does unjury Unflavored really taste unflavored? Can I put it in Water and not taste it? My vanilla shake is starting to sicken me' date=' I need something else to get my Protein in.[/quote'] I can taste it. In fact the info sheet that it came with suggested that if you put it in Water, you will taste it. I think if you put it in juice or yogurt, it masks the taste. Just my opinion. sara-seeking-sleeve 76 Posted March 5, 2013 You'll absolutely still lose weight w/o Protein. Think of all that useless muscle you can get rid of' date=' and who needs hair?[/quote'] You made me laugh so hard my incisions hurt!!!
Txcowgurl 44 Posted March 5, 2013 I am 1 month out today and I am drinking muscle milk mixed with 2% milk, is that bad?? My Nut put me on soft mechanical 8 days out. My thing is everyone tells me He moved me to fast. I am having trouble getting in enough water! And I see a lot of people on here say how the Protein Shakes are to be limited at some point. But on the days I don't want food is the muscle milk okay? Any suggestions Plzzzzz!!!

I think it is better in thicker things like pudding, Jello, Soup. Undetectable then.
