2 days post op cant stop throwin up!

I was supposed to be discharged from the hospital today, but due to the constant nausea, throwing up and lack of retaining liquids, I have to stay til tomorrow! Blahhh. They've given me 4 different kinda of meds but I can't shake this nausea!

Any advice?! I'm miserable!

Sorry girl! Sending positive energy your way. Take it slow, sweetie. Can you have ice chips yet? Try to sleep and hopefully the nasea will subside. GasX helped me with chicken broth and other liquids that caused me to feel more gas. Are you getting the shot in the belly that reduces nasea? I had to keep requesting it-even when I wasn't that nauseous just in case. Good luck. Keep us posted!

My Dr did say your could have way more nausea, than with the bypass. They don't know why, but some people have it a lot worse than others. Hang in there. Hope it starts to go away soon:)

Sorry to hear about your nausea. I knew I get nauseaous with anesthesia or pain meds after surgery from prior experience. So I talked to my doctor about it and prior to surgery they gave me a patch behind my ear. I had no problems with nausea then. It could be any pain meds that you are on that is causing the nausea. Try to do without it if you can and see if that helps. Good luck with it. I hope you feel better soon.
