valerie805 4 Posted March 3, 2013 So today I started soft foods and I was so excited. I wanted to finally eat something. I had eggs for Breakfast (about half of one) and vomited after. For lunch, I was out and about so I only had one ritz cracker cause I was scared of getting sick. For dinner I had Beans and felt like vomiting again but was able to hold it together. How was your transition from full liquids to soft food?
shelbyshumyers 12 Posted March 3, 2013 It was better than I thought but I learned really quick that I have to eat REALLY slow and I have to chew and keep the food in my mouth until its almost liquid! Keep trying it will get easier! ????

(That sounds gross I know)
valerie805 4 Posted March 3, 2013 Ok, I think I do need to chew more and slow down between bites. Thank you!

Richard Foor 655 Posted March 3, 2013 Slslowing the speed you eat is one of the hardest things but it is very important, especially when you are adding foods in in the beginning. A good plan is to set your utensil down between each bite, sounds silly but makes a big difference. Good Luck.
