I am one week post op started full liquids, I was so hungry I ate a bite of scrambles egg amd chewed until it was Water. But now I'm worried I messed something up even though I don't feel bad and nothing happened. Did anyone add foods or eat something earlier than they were suppose to?

I wasn't really doing anything earlier than plan, but my doc's plan has a pretty quick progression built in, so things like scrambled eggs and yogurt were served in the hospital, and those things along with most soft Proteins and liquids were acceptable as tolerated for that first month, so it is unlikely that you messed anything up. If you didn't feel any distress then it's unlikely that anything happened. Individual tolerances vary all over the map, so what is easy for some can be difficult for others. When my wife went through this a few years ago, her progression was a lot slower than mine, and even liquids offered a fair bit of restriction for a while, whereas I was downing liquids almost like normal (sip, sip, sip, but virtually no restriction on how long or much I could get down in a sitting) from the outset.

I actually started my soft food diet 2 days early. I did it because I didn't want to be at work and not feeling good if the foods I chose didn't work for me. I didn't have any problems.

I too started eating 1 week after sleeve I had to control the volume but I was eating a couple of chips eggs and chews soft meats. I felt scared but also knew my body was ready. The fact is its all about chewing you can eat anything so long as you chew properly and you swallow small amounts. Although I can eat anything I limit to two to three swallows then I'm full. If you feel your getting full or food stocks I have a little sip of Water right after. I know they say not too but the idea was to make the food more purée like but in my stomach

Also in hard times I wall eat anything chew and spit right out mentally this helped. I think we all need a transition to better food but also food that is small in volume. Doing this helped me get to that tradition. I'm on week four and have lost 35pounds!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
