Kelly1334 52 Posted March 12, 2013 No matter how much I seem to drink I still end up with a dry mouth and dry eyes when I wake up' date=' bothers me.[/quote'] I have the same issue. No matter how much I drink I still feel like I'm so thirsty! I told my dr and she wasnt worried just said more Water, which is the only thing I drink. I've been using dry mouth tooth paste/mouth wash it helps a little maybe give that a go? Winningbylosing 49 Posted March 12, 2013 I need some motivation I saw the Dr for my follow up. I lost 18 lbs post op which is good. He said I need to exercise regularly. He said the first 6 months are when I will drop the most weight n exercise will enhance the weight loss. I need motivation to go the gym. Shame is I live behind my gym and can walk there. I want to go for 30days before I start seeing my trainer (who is very kind and very sexy).
prettylittleheart 95 Posted March 12, 2013 Try going regularly for a week. Start really light (30mins/day) and increase the next week just to see what kind of results you see. You may be surprised - not only that you could look at it as a social outing. I have a gym that is open 24 hours which is fabulous for me because I'm a 'bashful', 'shy', 'don't like people looking/noticing me' type of person - although I have about 4ish more weeks to get cleared to do any kind of strenuous activity besides light walking. You might be better motivated if you have a friend that goes along with you. Also, stress! Working out is an amazing stress reliever and you may meet a ton of people there. The way I always look at it is no matter how slow I go, I'm still going faster than everyone sitting on the couch. This kind of helps with my self esteem because I feel like I am trying and succeeding to do something about my problem. However, I don't particularly like this saying because not everyone who is overweight is 'lazy'. A lot of people have predisposing factors such as health issues, genetics that play a role in the shape of their body. Just remember - take things day by day, and each day that passes you are one step closer to not only your goal, but feeling better about yourself. Also, one more suggestion - if you like sports maybe you can join a local league for charity like for example - I played softball for 13 years before I even got over weight and then I quit and regret it and CANNOT wait to start playing again & for a good, local cause! Maybe you can look into something like that first, instead of the gym and then you can think of it as a social outing not necessarily the 'gym' because at this time that word sounds dreadful to me lol! Good luck! Hope this helps! You can do it! & that is a great weight loss! Be proud of yourself & your accomplishments!

prettylittleheart 95 Posted March 12, 2013 Don't be afraid to reward yourself once you get closer to goal with a new outfit, jewelry, shoes, flowers, or even bubble bath! Those can be your new outlets!
AllSmiles 22 Posted March 13, 2013 I like those outlets. Volleyball would be so much fun. And what girl doesn't love shopping and bubble baths. Definatley something to work towards, now I wanna hurry and get cleared lol. I have an eliptical at home.
