I am 6 weeks post op today and I haven't lost weight in 3 weeks. I am stuck at 28 pounds lost and I don't know what to do I think I'm going crazy. I need to know if this is normal or not. I lost 50 pounds 2 years ago on my own and this is exactly where I was stuck and I haven't been below this weight in well over 10 years. I feel defeated and I can't stop crying everyday.

The stress might not be helping :(

Are you strong enough to put the scale away and just trust the process?

You've read it time and time again that the scale might not move but you are still burning fat. I've said this a million times, but I'll keep saying it - YOU ARE MORE THAN A NUMBER ON A SCALE.

Stay strong, trust the process, be kind to yourself and I swear it will all work itself out!

It's the three week stall....happens more often then not. Mine lasted about 4 weeks, then finally the scale started moving. Don't worry! This will pass, and you will start losing again. :)

Yup! I had this problem too. It lasted for a few weeks, but now the scale is slowly moving again. I'll take a pound or two a week loss than nothing. It will move again!

Are you exercising/walking?

No words of wisdom, just wishing you patience because I know I will need it when I hit the stall.

I literally just posted the same thing a few days ago. I had been stalled for over 4 weeks and the scale just finally moved on Thursday night. I know it is hard but you can't give up. Keep focused. You may not be losing pounds but you are losing inches. That concept was bizarre to me but it really is true. Just buckle down, follow the plan and you will break through!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
