Hi there. I have been seriously sleepy today, took two naps and still feel like I should just go to bed. My diet and drinking is not any different. Taking the same Vitamins. I am 7.5 months out so this is kind of unusual. Not sure if it makes a difference, but I have observed also that urine has been foamy on multiple occasions ( unusual), feces is a lighter color and stomach area has been aching a lot over last few days. At least two nights this week had some night sweats. Also had some minor aches in one location on lower right back. A sort of deep ache. Not sure what to think about these symptoms or if they have anything at all to do with terrible case of just wanting to sleep today. Let me know what you think. I normally have tons of energy from 5am when I rise to 9:30 pm when I turn in for sleep.

I'd call your PCP right away. Doesn't sound normal to me. Sorry you're going through that. The lower right back ache and stool color concern me personally. I'd make an appointment.

"Proteinuria or presence of significant amounts of Protein in the urine, is one of the most common causes of foamy urine."

Maybe that will put your mind at ease (a little!) until you see your doctor.

Hope everything turns out okay!!

You taking any pepto bismal or anything?

Light or clay colored stools can also be from a bile duct obstruction (gall stones..do you have your gallbladder?) The abdominal pain accompanying this stool color change concerns me. Is the pain constant or come and go? Is it sharp? Worse with meals...if so what kind of meals? Radiate or move anywhere like to your back or shoulder?

You need to go to the doctor and they can do some scans to visualize your stomach an gallbladder to see if there is an obstruction.

Could be the flu but I would be worried about the possibility of gallstones, with the lower right back pain and abdominal aches plus the lighter-colored feces. I thought this past weekend that I might have kidney stones (and very well may have) due to black specks in my urine and some other symptoms, but the past few days it is feeling more and more like gallstones. Pain beneath right rib cage (so bad this morning that it was impossible for a while to sit in an office chair), trouble taking a deep breath, constant burping, pain in right back, pain down right arm, extreme fatigue. UGH! I'm going to go in and see the PCP at my surgeon's office tomorrow. I know he is a general surgeon also so if I need my GB out, I think he can do it. I am starting to feel like a hypochondriac but I know that this is very real and want to err on the side of caution. I have been taking Ursodiol so maybe that will kick in. Did not expect this at 3 weeks out with an average rate of weight loss.

Hope you feel better soon.

I have a gallbladder and the closest thing to pepto bismal I am taking is my PPI. Pain comes and goes, but is not sharp all the time. Mostly it is like an ache. No movement of pain. I had a scan for potential gallbladder issues around month 3, but was not found to have any issues with it. None.

Do not think it is the flu( and hope it is not because dang the flu walloped me already this year). That was really bad.

One other symptom I failed to mention is that while urinating one occurrence today, I got a sharp pain in the bladder and in the prostate area ( I think this is the best place to describe it as it was back there, but not at the rectum). Overall, I felt sleepy drugged all day. Drinking coffee nor a short jog did not alleviate it like it should.

Just dropped about 8 lb in last 2 weeks. Light Clay colored it how I would describe it. Usually mine is a darker color especially when consistently eating the same Protein food.

I would go easy on your running and hard workouts until you get this figured out my friend. You don't want to overtax an already ill body.

Ok, so I had this long acid reflux after eating my afternoon snack today. Still going on 2 hours later. First time this has happened. I popped a few tums, but did not help. It seemed to take a lot out of me as far as usual energy levels. I have this constant ache around my abs on left side area and poop is still light colored ( stopped taking tums since this post started to make sure they were not the culprit to light poop). Is my gall bladder going, my liver going or both? I have not been into the clinic yet.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
