traveljunkie 0 Posted April 10, 2013 Hi, I am a band to sleeve revision... Band removal scheduled for the 12 th and then I must wait 12 weeks before my sleeve is done ... Doc wants to make sure all is healed ..
TinaD 18 Posted April 10, 2013 I was sleeved Sept 24,2012 It was the best thing for me and my health. I feel so much better physically and mentally. No more worrying about what to wear, is my shirt covering my stomach and rear, constantly avoiding mirrors.(women u know what I'm talking about). And worse, sitting in a chair with arms or a lawn chair not knowing if it would hold me. Eating is no longer my main priority, in fact sometimes I forget to eat, which is not good. I have more energy and are involved in more activities. Don't get me wrong..the first week was hell, the second week was bad, third week was better, one month I was great. No problems, do what the Dr. Says!!! Protein, Water, and walk. I love it. Wish you all the best with your new adventure. Please don't hesitate to text me or ask questions. You will be amazed how fast the new you starts appearing in the mirror. 2 coloradogrl and LanaMae reacted to this

punzel426 19 Posted April 11, 2013 I finally had my surgery on Monday. Things went great! I had to have a hiatal hernia repair which I was not expecting but I feel better overall than expected. The pain I feel is from gas and pain at the incision sites some. Last night, had really bad gas pain, felt pressure in chest and sides and it was killing me. I was walking, walking around the house and that helped some but I finally took a gas-x strip and felt immediate relief. AMAZING!!!! I'm thinking maybe I ate to much, so today trying to make sure I keep a journal of everything I consume to keep track. Hopefully, today will be better, so far it is. Good luck to all on thus journey! Wish you the very best!!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

toy27 62 Posted April 11, 2013 I had mine April 3rd! Me 2 r u getting all your Protein in its kinda hard 4 me
phedre 7 Posted April 11, 2013 Me 2 r u getting all your Protein in its kinda hard 4 me No, but only because the expectation is pretty low for me right now. The Doctor said there is no way I would be able to get it all in right away and to shoot for 40 grams, everyday trying to get closer and closer until the first 2 week follow up. I have been getting to 40 without to much problem for the past few days. This week I am going work on exceeding that amt doing better and better until I have the first follow-up. My Doc seemed way more concerned that I get in enough Fluid in the first few weeks then protein so that is where my focus has been. Though I am sure they will up the requirements after that 2 week follow up!
